This book is an ethnography of a small grassroots reforestation, cultural revival and social development movement that has been underway since the late 1990s in Hapao, a village in the Municipality of Hungduan in Ifugao province, high up in the Cordillera Mountains in the north of the Philippines island of Luzon. By looking at the way globalization has penetrated the village and how the villagers have become entangled in it.
