Summary: Environmental Management aims to seek the best possible course of action to take in the face of pressing global concerns, even under the restriction of available limited resources. By focusing on Environmental Management, this book distinguishes itself from others whose emphasis is on listing problems and enunciating advocacies. This book moved a notch higher from the said viewpoint and endeavored to make environmental education, which is a crucial component in our efforts to address climate change and attendant issues, relevant to the needs of our contemporary times. In order to achieve this, many efforts were relegated to link theory to practice. It addressed the continuing challenge for both academicians and students to make theories and concepts relevant to actual world situations. The authors have incorporated the linking of theory with practice segment which is designed to benefit the students in the following manner: Students are presented with real-life situations through case studies based on real events whereby they can apply and integrate theories and practices. Provide a forum for group discussion and introduction of ideas to solve a particular problem and consider the best alternative course of action. This book was further enriched with the inclusion of the Introduction to the Philippine Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) System which will educate the students on statues, policies and allow them to get a feel of how the process works on the ground.
