The emphasis on primary sources corresponds to the thrust of the new General Education Curriculum to view the past through the lens of eyewitnesses. wwhen students are sufficiently grounded in historical understanding, they can offer sound historical analysis to make informed opinions and decisions regarding today's most pressing issue.
