Developing this book has been a wonderful and exciting journey. It all started with my desire to reasonably express that knowledge of human resource management is not just for those working and aspiring to be in the field of human resource, but also for students in general business or business administration programs, managerial staff, and even business owners. The twelve chapters of this book are organized into five parts with major emphasis on the three stages of the employment cycle and the corresponding human resource management practices in each stage; namely, pre-hiring, hiring, and post-hiring.
